Meet our Horses

It takes a special horse to provide the heart and patience to support any rider and here at GAIT, we take selecting our horses seriously. Each horse is evaluated by PATH certified instructors and horse experts and must be found suitable and safe. They are evaluated on their ground manners, confirmation, soundness, and temperament before being considered for the program.

It takes a considerable amount of money each year to support our GAIT horses and we ask you to consider supporting these animals that love everyone who visits them unconditionally. Any amount donated goes to support the care of this horse from board, routine healthcare, farrier visits, and emergency vet visits. Any donation made over $100 will be listed as a donor on the horse's bio. Sponsors who choose to donate one year of board ($3,000) will have an engraved plaque placed on the horses stall for the year and include their name or business to celebrate your generosity.

GAIT also recognizes the name of every donor whose contributions exceed $100 on our website and on select print materials.

Hviske

Hviske is a beautiful Norwegian Fjord that is a favorite of GAIT riders. Donated to the program, her gentle personality and dainty size makes her the perfect introduction into horseback riding.

Jackson

Donated to Green Acres by the Iredale family, Jackson is a beautiful buckskin with a gentle personality. Formally, he worked as a border patrol horse and is now greatly enjoying his retirement. With his previous training in high-stress environments, Jackson is perfectly equipped to provide a safe space for even the most timid of riders.

Brady

Brady is a ranch favorite, helping in both lessons at Green Acres and as a GAIT riding horse. Brady is owned by the Patton/Armstrong Family and is leased to Green Acres. With a successful western pleasure showing career under his belt, Brady enjoys all of the love and attention given to him by all of our students.
